Students also continued to read mystery books and solved the mystery of "Who took Ms. Warner's chair?" Social Studies This week we went over our family interviews and then created a Venn diagram comparing the past to the present. We also discussed why we look back on the past and what we can learn. Writing/Science We continued to conduct experiments this week and write like scientists in our lab notebooks. Students asked questions, came up with a hypothesis, created a procedure, collected data and wrote a conclusion. The experiments this week involved friction/force surrounding a tower of coins and a catapult determining if a cotton ball or ping pong ball would go further. We also had a fabulous in-house field trip at a toy-making workshop. Hopefully your student has shown you their amazing toys!
