This week in Room 203...
Math Multiplication started this week. We worked on creating equal groups, repeated addition and arrays. If you have dice at item, a fabulous game to play is called Circles and Stars. Your student can show you how! Reading This week we continued to work in our book clubs. We focused on writing about our writing - asking questions, making connections, recapping and then talking about our post-it jots. We celebrated the end of this unit by creating paper bag puppets of our favorite book characters. Writing We completed our poetry this unit week. Students edited, revised and published (typed on the computer) their poems. We had a fabulous time at the Poetry Cafe today sharing our poems. Social Studies/Sharing Students set up their menus this week and spent a few days buying and selling their goods/services. We recapped by talking about what they would do differently, if we thought prices were too high/low, what items were popular and how we attracted customers to our businesses.
